first friday celebration.

we headed to carbondale to check out our first 'first friday celebration'. the city closes off the streets & all the art galleries stay open late to showcase their work. the streets are lit up & since this is the month we celebrate christmas, santa was to be there. except, we showed up after santa made his appearance & we once again, missed out on the oliver's first meeting with santa clause. this is the second attempt we've blown. while we were back in iowa, we attempted to get him to the mall, but the stinker fell asleep a minute before we arrived! and i was not going to wake him! we had a good night & walked the streets of carbondale...& got into the holiday spirit!
