mr. & mrs. noelting.

to iowa & back. story three. part one.
the main reason we chose our travels at this particular time was to attend my cousin, melanie vollmar, and the love of her life, jared's wedding. and so became mr. & mrs. jared noelting. so happy for these two! and so glad i was able to celebrate with them...but more on that later. following the ceremony was a tented reception at the holstein country club. it was amazing. beautiful. perfect.

and then came the cake...

i was official cake cutter w/ my parents for mel & jared.

well...

when we showed up at the reception, we checked up on the situation, just to get a feel for what the cake looked like...we were quickly informed to peek into the back of my aunt kathy's vehicle...and...well...we were not peering at beautifully constructed tiers...but a giant pile of a mess of a cake...tumbled...crumbled...poor pretty cake. but...there were cupcakes! and the cupcakes saved the day. and as for this cake...it was fake =) and only one fellow that came up to ask me if we were going to cut it...to which i appropriately knocked on the outside of it, smiled & handed him a cupcake.

poor weegie was sick...but she was such a trooper & made a short appearance.
