captain of the pumpkin patch.

we finally made it to the pumpkin patch this weekend! woohoo! but, it started out a little hairy, as michael & i got ourselves into a borderline creep-show children of the corn situation (as i put it)... when i pulled up the navigation to the "pumpkin patch" on my phone, it gave us directions right to it. except after enjoying an awesome, colorful drive through the country, we pulled up to a suspicious looking setup. it was a corn maze. okay, not that creepy but i had a weird children of the corn vibe. we realized right away that this was not the pumpkin patch, but pulled into the field anyway to ask directions to our correct destination. i refused to get out of the vehicle...well someone had to keep an eye on sleeping oliver! there was an old toothless man in a cowboy hat, three kids & an old bus parked by the entrance of the cornfield. michael got out & received some proper instructions on how to get to the actual pumpkin patch. okay, so nothing weird happened, but it could've easily been the setting of a horror film. maybe i'm just too amped up about halloween?! after mike got back into the car, he verified the old man had 7 teeth (oh! one more than oliver), but i think he just didn't want me to judge. once back on the road again, a short drive took us to a more favorable destination. and then began the first pumpkin patch experience of both oliver & mama. so much fun! oliver laughed & squealed the whole time as michael wheelbarrowed him all over...in search of the greatest pumpkins!

  1. Love all of the pictures, the top two of Oliver in the wheel barrow are my favorite! I saw your mom yesterday...I had Colton with me so I think I made her miss Oliver more :(
