on the day gus was discharged from sanford children's hospital, the director of nursing approached mike, who was with gus that morning. she was explained that the local news team was going to be featuring nurses in a story & wanted to use mr. august schweitzberger for one of their baby "model patients". of course, mike started regretting not cutting his hair the day before & agreed to be on camera. i showed up with oliver just as the news crew showed up. they shot about 30 seconds of video of the nurse checking gus's vitals. the cameraman did turn the camera for about 15 seconds of us, just in time to catch us staring admiringly at our baby & oliver mowing down a granola bar w/ food all over his face...dear lord i hope they don't include that footage!!! {omg they included that footage!!!}
the highlight is going to air tonight for the keloland area {sioux falls, sd} @ 10pM. so...if you want to see gus appearing in his first semi-professional role, tune into tonight's 10 o'clock news if you're in the area. and if you're not in the area, check out the link below.
